“My greatest hope is that TINKA can make people feel badass about themselves,” Parol says. “I hope this music makes people strut down the street a little harder on their way into a meeting, or add a few minutes to their cardio workout, or blast while pregaming to go out with your friends, or be a dope backdrop while driving down a scenic highway. I just want people to feel fly and empowered when they jam out to it.“

While Parol may have a diverse musical background, hip-hop has become her main inspiration. After taking a class on the history of hip-hop, her self-described “obsession” with the genre grew. The stylistic influence is evident in her music. A smooth, yet ever-growing beat oftentimes accompanies the bouncy vocal passages. The ardent vocals grow evermore, twisting and churning as the dynamic backing track threatens to burst at the seams. It’s bold, it’s fun, and more than anything it’s TINKA.

The raw, untouchable, and undoubtedly energetic vocal delivery imbues a sense of defiance, the need to simply kick down the door with a smirk while making no apologies.
