FULL TIME OPPORTUNITIES

Director, Digital Marketing

Position Summary: You will be our lead digital marketing expert guiding the campaigns and strategy for our frontline label roster. You will have an amazing Coordinator to collaborate with as well as a content team that includes our VP of Artist Strategy. Currently our roster is 13 artists and will be quickly growing in the coming years. Our Burbank campus is beautiful— housing a successful 25 year old company with a great sense of community and artistic reverence.

Reports To: GM, Recorded Music

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Lead digital strategy across our roster of artists and oversee 1 Digital Marketing Coordinator

- Build and execute the digital/social aspects of an artists’ release campaign alongside Marketing PM, taking into account the overall artist and campaign goals. You and the Coordinator will split the roster

- Be a key contributor on our Content Team, helping grow our artists’ footprint across social platforms like Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Discord, Laylo, Community, etc.

- Stay at the forefront of content trends, identifying emerging sounds that have the potential to go viral and integrating them into our campaigns, where appropriate

- Deeply understand the digital landscape, identifying and maximizing emerging trends, technologies, best practices and digital platforms to create bespoke campaigns that drive cross-platform engagement and awareness

- Have and/or source excellent relationships with key digital accounts ie TikTok, Meta, Snapchat, YouTube, Twitter, etc in order to secure promotional opportunities, partnerships and latest best practices

- Run, optimize and provide strategy for all digital advertising campaigns based on the goals and objectives of the overall campaign. Have robust knowledge with custom audiences, pixel implementation, and deeply integrating and linking artists profiles to paid ad manager platforms

- Provide learnings that will inform future campaigns while translating these analytics into simplified takeaways for artists, managers, stakeholders and other departments

- Ensure all digital timelines, budgets, and business goals are achieved — Strategize, manage, and execute on Artist’s Marketing Budgets, keep budgets up-to-date as spends happen in real-time. Process and ensure payments to external vendors have been fulfilled in a timely manner with help from team

- Manage and analyze social media campaigns, ensuring maximum reach, engagement, and conversion working directly with artists, management, and agent teams, to ensure artist posting and execution

- Analyze campaign performance data, including engagement metrics and audience responses to different sounds/content, to optimize future campaigns and drive continuous improvement

- Drive competitive research on viral trends, what other artists in the corresponding genre are doing, which campaigns and techniques on key platforms/partners are working best to better inform our marketing strategy. Ultimately, keeping our artists on the cutting edge of culture and technology

- Create digital and social media best practice resources for artists & managers to refer to and utilize

- Proven success creating and running fan growth strategies to build artist profiles and CRM using content strategy, gated campaigns and/or paid media strategy

- Research and daily analysis of artist communities, fan sentiment/requests to create a comprehensive understanding of an artist’s fan base for optimal marketing.

- Schedule and manage short-form and long-form content, along with the Content team, shoots with top-tier freelance content creators and top tier production companies and agencies to create world-class content for Position Music’s roster

- Be available to handle any ad hoc digital needs as they come up

Required Qualifications: You should have experience with the following tools: Adobe Creative Suite, Monday or other project mgt software, Luminate, Chartmetric, Spotify/Apple/Amazon for Artists, Meta Business Suite, Tik Tok Ad Manager, Google Ad Manager, Tik Tok/Cap Cut, Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, YouTube CMS, Mailchimp (or other email marketing software), Shopify

Background Requirements: You must have at least 3 years experience running bespoke digital campaigns for a roster of artists in a fast-paced environment. If you don't have this experience, please include a cover letter explaining why your skills are transferrable.

Salary Range: 70-90K

INTERNSHIPS

The Position Music Interns Responsibilities include:

- Internet/Client research

- Music submission review

- Publishing administration

- Music metadata organization

- Social media management

- Video/image editing and creation

- Misc. office tasks

 

Intern must be enrolled in an accredited college program. Typical time commitment is 20 hours/week. Must have their own transportation. We usually hire for Spring, Summer, and Fall semsters on a rolling basis.
