Of The Giants

Of The Giants’ debut EP Shine On features intimate singer/songwriter folk music yet builds it up to a level that is worthy of such a grandiose artist name. Listening to Shine On will quickly draw you in with warm guitar tones, an inviting vocal lead, and fun sing-along friendly melodies and lyrics. But this is far from minimal pop-folk music, in fact, it’s quite the opposite. Like their name suggests, Of The Giants has a uniquely massive sound. Through big-sounding percussion, 4/4 handclaps, and experimental electronic sound-design produce a very authentic yet massive, more epic feel, to Of The Giant’s tracks. With crescendos and beat drops aplenty, Shine On has some truly memorable musical moments. With ear-worm choruses, and upbeat melodies, don’t be surprised if you’re whistling to the tune of an Of The Giant hook to after listening to Of The Shine. Ultimately, The debut EP paves the path for a new voice and perspective on this otherwise proud and traditional genre, which is a very welcome development.
