Written in Los Angeles alongside writer Josh Logan and producer Wolves, the new project helmed by singer/artist Frenchie marks a staggering chapter in her musical output. High energy 808 subs, roaring synth layers, and massive, engaging drum and percussion patterns make space for Millz’s vocals to soar and accelerate. Musically Millz lets her influences shine throughout her music, which reflect her musical upbringing in West Philadelphia. As the daughter of a singer mother and touring guitarist father, Millz found early aspirations in music while listening to groups introduced by her parents including Earth, Wind, & Fire, and Kool & The Gang, in addition to artists she gravitated towards on her own including Brandy, Lauryn Hill, and Aaliyah. Millz sharpened her skills and musical goals during this time while singing in youth and adult church choirs, in addition to formative experiences like singing harmonies in the backseat with her family on long car rides.
