NU BLUD
NU BLUD, hailing from Scottsdale, AZ, channels a dark, cinematic edge into their music, blending elements of goth and hip-hop. With music ingrained in them from an early age, playing piano and guitar since five and singing since three, NU BLUD knew it was their calling after being inspired by a Broadway show. Their early influences came from their father, who introduced them to the sounds of Frank Sinatra and Barbra Streisand, instilling a love for writing and singing that shaped them as an artist. This project, called NU BLUD, recorded with producer WOLVES and writer CTodd Neilson, offers a dark, edgy sound meant to evoke visuals of superheroes, femme fatales, and epic fight scenes. With roots in cinematic music, Nu Blud pulls inspiration from video game soundtracks and artists like Nine Inch Nails, Ethel Cain, and HEALTH. Working in the studio with WOLVES brought about a ton of creative energy, with a mix of intentional lyrics and freestyled melodies.
