Gaby Moreno

Gaby Moreno was born and raised in Guatemala City. From an early age she became interested in music and at age 13 she learned to play guitar. After high school, she moved to Los Angeles to study at Musician´s Institute. In 2007, she won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, Song of The Year award, becoming the first ever Latin category to win the contest. Since 2014 she is part of the Judges for this premiere international songwriting competition. In 2010 she was nominated for an Emmy Award for composing the theme song from the hit NBC show "Parks and Recreation". In 2013 she received the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist. Gaby Moreno has been touring different European countries and most cities of the United States, presenting her music in English and Spanish, leaving critics mesmerized with "A natural source in a voice that blends sweet and yet powerful, with melodies that caress the soul".
