Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Yonatan Watts started his musical journey at a young age and quickly became active in the Canadian music scene. Winning multiple awards and grants for his musical and vocal capabilities, he soon landed a position in the top 30 on the nationally aired “Canadian Idol”. He then moved to New York where he began diving deep into production, songwriting and recording for his own music. Making valuable connections, he quickly became a highly sought after producer and engineer in the New York music scene, working at the world renowned Platinum Sound Studio. In 2019 Yonatan landed an engineering placement on Ari’s debut album “Shea Butter Baby” #4 on the Billboard R&B charts. Yonatan moved to Los Angeles where he connected with producers Murda Beatz, Bizness Boi, TIMBALAND, Rodney Jerkins, Babyface & Tommy Brown. His constant growth, drive, talent and effort as a producer and engineer have landed him on records with major artists, including “Main Thing” off of the platinum selling, Grammy Nominated album Positions (Best Pop Vocal album 2021). He has also landed a placement with Chris Brown on "In The City” off of Breezy (Grammy Nominated Best R&B Album 2023) and the latest single “Involved” by Coi Leray. Yonatan is on his way to solidifying his spot as one of the most prolific producers of this generation. Recent collaborations include Lucky Daye, BLEU, Jennifer Lopez, Brandy, Ty Dolla $ign, Boi-1da, Wallis Lane, Roark Bailey & many more.

In January of 2022, President and CEO of Position Music Tyler Bacon and Grammy-nominated producer and songwriter Tommy “TB Hits” Brown announced that Yonatan Watts signed a publishing deal with Position Music via a joint venture with Brown’s Champagne Therapy Music Group (CTMG).
