THE DNC
Self-Titled

International party hip-hop group, The DNC, is the newest signing to Position Music. Hailing from Norway, producer Jay Arr connected with Ugandan emcee Chobo to create an urban/pop/hip-hop non-stop party in the vein of The Black Eyed Peas and The Pussycat Dolls.

The EP features many guest artists, including frequent collaborator StL and well-known Dancehall/Reggae artist Ms. Triniti (Sean Paul, Ja Rule).

The song "Swing Baby Swing" is currently being used in the Canadian Lotto ad campaign, which incorporated the song into a “Happy Dance” contest.  Viewers were encouraged to submit videos of themselves dancing to “Swing Baby Swing.”

LENA ANDERSSEN
Self-Titled

Faroese-Canadian singer/songwriter Lena Anderssen received this year’s “Album of the Year” award at the Faroe Islands’ biggest awards ceremony, the Planet Awards.  The album was co-produced and mixed by Danish Grammy Award winner Oli Poulson.

The album is available for Film/TV licensing through Position Music. CD’s are being serviced next week.  You can also preview the album here.

san.drine
Janvier

We have the new full-length album from the Swiss electronic artist san.drine available for Film/TV licensing. Janvier is a very sexy French and English record, reminiscent of Air, Kate Havnevik, Imogen Heap and Lamb. 

san.drine was originally featured on our Position Music Film/TV artist compilation Vol. 10 and was licensed for shows like “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” “Smallville,” “Beautiful People” and “What About Brian.”

CELLDWELLER

Speed Racer
Check out the new single from Celldweller entitled "Birthright." The song features orchestration by composer James Dooley (Spiderman 3, The Golden Compass, I Am Legend trailers). Hear the track in the new Speed Racer trailer.

Celldweller recently appeared with Growling Machines at the TRIBE 7 Years Music Festival in São Paulo, Brazil. Growling Machines have done several re-mixes of Celldweller songs.  Klayton joined them and added live vocals, guitars and percussion to the headlining DJ set at 7am.  25,000+ people were in attendance.

Klayton will be in Los Angeles for the Golden Trailer Awards on May 8.  Let us know if you want to set up a meeting while he is in town.
